About Us

The company was formed in 1986, originally raising funds in support of a variety of health related causes. For example, we made donations to St. Joseph's Hospice in East London and enabled a young Medway boy with cerebral palsy to travel to the Peto Institute in Budapest, where conductive education was pioneered.

In the years we have been operating we have donated nearly £500,000 to various good causes. Well known personalities who have presented donation cheques on our behalf include sixties chart topping singer Helen Shapiro, Olympic swimmer Nick Gillingham, Olympic swimmer and television presenter Sharron Davies, comedy duo Little and Large and Radio Kent presenter Pat Marsh.

What has made all of this possible is the continued loyal support of our subscribers, some of whom have been with us from the beginning, more than a quarter of a century ago. In that time we have seen subscribers leave the area but carry on supporting us, and spouses and children who have taken over and continued the subscription of their late husband, wife or parent. We share that level of commitment to ensuring that the work done on behalf of children who did not have the best start in life can continue.
